So we've now been here two weeks and wow it has gone very quickly.
We all still have colds (Patrick now being at his worst) and we've had another week of taking it easy and just really doing "not alot"! Although I have managed to get the children to do a little school work.
Tuesday 22nd November
After chatting with our Housekeeping Lady, Ann-Tone, about not feeling very confident about exploring, she offered to take us out to the The Bermudian Aquarium/Zoo and then to St George's.
It was a great day out and it was so kind of her to take us out and give us a great insight in to part of the island.
A very sleepy Seal Squid
Not sure what fish this was but .....
.... he was happy to pose in our picture!
We waited, and waited to see the alligator but he just would not make an appearance so we had to make do with the mosaic of him
These pictures were from inside the Natural History Museum of Bermuda

Wednesday 23rd November
Our boxes were cleared at Customs yesterday and landed on my Veranda. Now to start unpacking and try and make everything disappear in to two rooms! We've had to order extra drawers for storage so that I can make all of the clutter disappear. Eleanor on the other hand is so happy that her Barbies and toys have arrived and has made herself at home.
In the evening we had the most amazing Sunset .... it was featured on We Are Bermuda which made it feel all that bit more special
Yeah ... Snorkels have arrived and we're off to practise in the pool in readiness for the sea and all the tropical fishes we might see!
Friday 25th November
I know at some point I will get bored of the sunsets but there is just something about being somewhere and watching as the sun sets and how atmospheric it can be - Friday night was amazing and I just love the shadows of the palm trees. It made me really appreciate where I am lucky enough to be for the next 8 months (and obviously as it was Friday I was enjoying a glass of wine) .... unfortunately Neil doesn't get to see this as he is at work until 6.30pm and is coming home on the rib in the dark :-(
Saturday 26th November
Neil has been given a day off! He's so tired that all he wanted to do was just chill by the pool. Not before I dragged him down to the Launderette to do a load of washing so that he could help me carry it home! It was nice though to pop down and sit on a bench by the yacht club and watch the children come in from their lesson and also to take in a little bit of history.
Sunday 27th November
With Neil was back at work we spent the day catching up with people back home via FaceTime. Then at 5pm we headed out for the Christmas Parade - Bermudian Style. It was a brilliant atmosphere and The Market Place Supermarket who arranged the event put on a great parade and it was lots of fun.
