Week Nineteen

24.03.17

Red Nose Day:  The school are doing a sponsored swim today and they managed to reach their target of sponsorship money which they were really chuffed with.  So all that was left to do was to swim their lengths.  They were also allowed to go in with Crazy Hair and wear Mufti clothes.

Swimathon:
Little Tackers - 30 minutes
Foil Gybers - 60 minutes

Brilliant - all the children and the teachers came out in Red Nose Swim Hats

Team talk

Yeah - the end and to warm up the hot tub

Patrick swam 46 lengths 🏊
Eleanor swam 30 lengths 🏊

Eleanor was one tired Bunny 💖

26.03.17

Today was the teams Pizza Party.  It started at 4pm but the lads wouldn't be back until 6.30pm, so .... us ladies started the party without them - well it would have been rude not too!!  (#rememberwhyimhere)

It was brilliant - face painting, balloonist and magician, as well as lots of pizza and salad.

Magician doing some tricks - Eleanor got to join in

Eleanor read out her Acrostic poem to the whole team and she had it laminated to present it to Sir Ben Ainslie & Georgie.  She was so brave and we were really proud of her reading it in front of everyone 💖

Week Eighteen - 4 Months

14.03.16

Yay ....  a rowing machine has been delivered to the gym this week .... I love rowing machines .... 💪😀

Or maybe not so 'Yay'!!  My hands were covered in blisters after my first 5,000m as the handle was really slippy and had no grip 👎  I did manage just over 28 mins mind.

16.03.16

So not to be defeated I got back on the horse so to speak (with lots of plasters over said blisters and beat my time from Tuesday to 24 mins and 38 secs - quite pleased with that 😁💪

18.03.16

This weekend there is Bermuda's Triple Challenge Event and today we have two teams of four that have entered to take on the challenge along the South Shore Beaches.  As supporters we joined them to cheer them on.

Warwick Long Bay

Team work - all hands to help get them over

Team BAR - our supporters, even Arthur cheered and clapped everyone on

Fiona Nusum & Helen Morris - the school teachers and Jago & Bianca

 Kirsty & Dave

The Finish line is in sight

Once back home we chilled and then met Neil off the chase boat.  Chase 4 is one of the larger chase boats and 'Daddy' showed the children some of the gadgets on the boat.

Family Meal aka The Wise's 🥘 - Lasagne

First thing this morning we took a trip up to Price Right to buy everything for our family meal and I set to it to produce four trays of Lasagne in the afternoon for everyone that wanted to join in the family meal.  We even managed to make a tray of Chocolate Brownies for desert with Cookies & Cream ice cream - yum

So lots of people turned up, even more than we were expecting .....

.... and even though we had more people than expected we only got through two trays!  So two went in the freezer for another weekend and Round 2!!

It was a really good evening with a fair bit of wine consumed and a few good tunes - Happy days 💕

That's me signing off for another week

Week Seventeen

07.03.17

Today in school Mason got to see all of his classmates back in the UK ... they were on a school visit back at The Camber in Portsmouth and we Skype'd them.

It was very cool to see how happy all of his school friends were to see him and talk to him.

They had a bunch of questions that they asked all of the children here in Bermuda and it was lovely to have some communication back home 💓

12.03.17

Daddy day off

Railway Trail Part 2:  This was a killer!  We made the children walk 10.7km and they weren't happy that we made them walk from Somerset draw bridge to the Swizzle Inn 😠  They whinged alot but it was good fun and we all felt we had achieved something by the end of the day .... especially once we got to the Swizzle and enjoyed a lovely dinner and of course a jug of Rum Swizzle 😜

Starting at Somerset Draw Bridge (this is where we started last time and walked our way up to Somerset Village towards Dockyard).

This is the smallest draw bridge in the world
