Week Twenty-Three

17.04.17

It's the last day of the Easter holidays for the children .... and also the last day of Neil's long weekend off.

We caught the bus to Elbow Beach for some family time and to get away from the hotel. The kids had a ball body surfing with their Daddy and it was a super glorious sunny day.

In the afternoon we walked to the Beach Club so that we could get the free shuttle back. Dylan and Mason were there .... Dylan loves Patrick so much and they love snuggling on the hammock 💗 much cuteness .....

19.04.17

It's the Peppercorn Ceremony today and Kim and I jumped on the bus up to St George's to go watch the Free Mason's pay their rent for the year - 1 Peppercorn.

Kings Square all ready for the ceremony

The Town Crier's Competition is also happening over the next 3 days so all of the competitors were led in by Hamilton's Town Crier

Saturday morning and all is very chilled.  Eleanor started Art Club and a few of the children sat on our balcony under an umbrella, kindly provided by the Pool guys, and they just coloured in pictures for a couple of hours.

Earth Day Beach Clean Up ..... We all rocked up at Admiralty Park to help clean up the area and Clarence Bay.  Even the children put on their rubber gloves and helped comb the beach and the park.

After the clean up some of the ladies went for a cooling swim

This photo of me featured on Bermuda News in their Earth Day article - I'm famous!!

Daddy day off .... which can only mean another stretch of the Railway Trail, much to the children's delight!!  So we started in Flatts and started to walk up towards the Caves.  It was such a hot day and Eleanor's foot was really hurting from where she had twisted it on Elbow Beach.

As you can see Eleanor is not at all impressed that she's having to walk!

The heat got the better of us so we gave Eric a call and he came and collected us.  We had a delightful afternoon with him and his friends at Marc's house in Tuckers Town.  Eleanor absolutely adored their dogs - Scarlett (Golden Retriever) and Bear (Golden Labrador).  They even got to have a swim to cool off.

Lots of love
