Week Twelve

Week 3 of school and we have finally got in to a good routine.  The school day has been changed to 8.30am-2.30pm as our 8am start was a little too early for everyone.

We are managing to get our homework completed when it's needed as I have a really good bargaining tool - the swimming pool.  Patrick and Eleanor are not allowed to go out to play until it is completed.  Eleanor is practising her spellings without arguing and we are all finding time to sit down and read loads together.

What a difference not having loads of responsibilities like work, after school clubs, housework, DIY etc .... I actually can spend time with my children and ensure they are charging ahead with their education out here in Bermuda.  This in itself is worth us all making the drastic decision to come out to this beautiful island.  It has completely changed the quality of our life and we are also doing it at a much slower pace - well, maybe not Neil!

On our patio area we have a resident lizard that sunbathes on our fence ... he's very chilled

Chilled afternoon .... Art after school 😊

03.02.17

That's it ... my fringe is too long.  So I had to cut it myself!

04.02.17

Everyone got together to celebrate Harry's 1st Birthday in the cottage.  The children had a great time playing and Patrick face painted some of their faces.  Harry had such a great time and loved being centre of attention.
