So in typical Bermuda style we are having a Sports Day on the beach at the Hamilton's Beach Club .... hosted by Georgie and Celia we also had a fantastic brunch before heading off to the Base to watch the next leg of the races.
First of all the children had to go through an assault course and find gold coins and collect cheerleading pom-poms. The team that collected the most were the winners ....
Even Arthur got to look for gold coins ....
Then Tug of War .... Mums -v- Children .... and the best of 3 is the winner ....
Even Georgie and Celia had to get involved .....
So the score was Children 2 - Mums 1 .... Yeah the children were the winners :-)
Even the teachers got to join in and have some fun .....
Grubs up ....
Once we'd eaten it was a quick journey in to Dockyard to see the racing ....
My word the taxi journey was crazy ... I'm not sure we could have crammed any more children in! In fact, if the taxi driver had his own way he would have squeezed in a few more!! There was Kim up front, Me and Bianca with Noa and Adur, Dylan I think might have been with us, and then at the back Eleanor, Rafa, Mason and Philippa ... then right at the back Patrick Lucas and Tristan (I am sure it was very illegal!) .... Marion was on a dive course so at least that was one less that was supposed to be with us!!)
Once again the Race Village was closed as we were racing on a Lay Day (the weather was really bad yesterday so racing was cancelled). So before the racing started we decided to escape the Base and get the children to the play park to play.....
Love my babies .... they are so kind and caring xx

The Tall Ships have now left Hamilton and are on their way to America .... I have downloaded some of the beautiful photos that I found on Facebook of these magnificent ships just so that I can remember how stunning they were and that we saw them in Bermuda ....
What we did today was .... absolutely nothing! Well I didn't, I was packing some boxes to get a little bit organised. The children were entertaining Dylan for Bianca as last night she trapped her finger in the patio drawer and it looks like she's broken her middle finger - ouch! So they made Dens and watched TV ....

So this it .... today is quite literally Crunch time, D-Day .... we have to win two of our three races .... eeek!!
We all gave them a really good cheer to wish them lots of luck ....
Everyone got Tattooed .....
We all sat and watched the race ..... how tense was everyone feeling today ....
Even the children were feeling it ....
Pressure was too much through the first race so for the second we went in to the Village for a change of scenery ....
Bianca with her broken finger .... she was in so much pain
Unfortunately .... this was it. New Zealand just had the better of us today and we have been beaten fair and square .... we gave a really good fight by winning a race today but everything was on the NZ team's side today and they are now going through to the next round. We were all there thought to cheer them back in and congratulate the boys for such a good fight today ...
Ben coming back in ....
Team Wise, Kim and Bianca having a group hug with Georgie ....
Rita being brought back in ....
The final interview ... this time it isn't going out live, this one is just for the Team and family members.
Freddie behind the bar to get the party started ....
What a night - dancing, drinking and BBQ. A really good way to finish off our journey in this competition.

All Team Day Off .... So what better way than to nurse our hangovers than to just go and chill out at the Beach Club.
Everyone heading out to the pontoon as the race was from the pontoon back to shore ....
That was the funniest race ever .... it was just like the Whacky Races ....
Time to chill now .... the ring around the sun was stunning but it wasn't going to keep me awake!!
The cloud formation was just great to watch .... once I'd woken up from my nap!!
In the evening we had been invited out by Charles Dunstone (our major investor) as a way of thanks to the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club to party .... As a babysitter was sorted this was our first night out without the children in the whole time we were here in Bermuda!! What was even better Bianca kept hold of them for a sleepover. So when the party finished at the Yacht Club we went back to the Dunstone's boat and partied till 3am!!

So, after two nights of partying (now beginning to feel old as very tired now!) we now had to think very seriously about getting all of our stuff packed up in to our shipping boxes. So it has begun and the rooms are in utter chaos trying to sort out what needs to be shipped home and what actually needs to go in the suitcases for the America trip ....
11.06.17
We are due to go the Base today and meet up with Carol and Eric ... but the weather is horrendous. Cristina who is working in the Village sent us all a photo of the flooding, Eek!!
We still headed over to Dockyard (although Neil couldn't believe he was heading over to work on his day off!!) and we were joined by Kim and Dee. Once at the base as we were soaked through there was only one way to cheer ourselves up and that was to open a bottle a bubbles. We then phoned Carol and as she was also soaked through was more than happy to join us at the Base to get out of the rain and try and dry off .... oh, and also have a glass of bubbles too!! It ended up being a really good day as the children all had fun too and we even had our very own Inside Tack where Patrick interviewed Eleanor, Millie and Adam!!
Well after a very eventful week that is it .... we are out of the Cup and plans are now in place for our exit from Bermuda. It's been confirmed that we have to pack up all of our stuff and that we'll be flying to New York on Friday 16th June. So these next couple of days are going to be hectic getting everything ready for America.
lots of love The Wise Old Owls xxxx
