Next stop Myrtle Beach .... with only an hour and a half in the car it was another beach to dip our toes before heading down to Charleston for our overnight stay.



I can see the sea .....

Well, it's a bit built up compared to Wrightsville's beach area.  There are ALOT of hotels and holiday makers ....

In the background we have Myrtle Beaches' Funfair and Boardwalk

So we will have to walk down to it after we have walked the other way down to the pier

Time for ice cream after all this walking on beaches ....

This was a very quick stop as we need to get to Charleston this evening .... 

Short and sweet visit but I personally found Myrtle Beach too built up and commercialised for the holiday makers for my liking.  I know it's down to personal taste but I probably would not come back to this area as a first choice.

Neil:  "Built up, like the Blackpool of the Carolina's ... didn't like it."

Patrick:  "Colourful and I had a delicious ice cream."

Eleanor:  "Busy and big but I loved my ice cream."
